Bifold with Cortizo becomes a reality

Although as a ‘dream sell’ the bifold may notch ahead, the chances are, in our climate patio doors will be closed for a higher percentage of the year than they will be open. So, if we have a large open space, perhaps the bigger the pane of glass, the better, as we are more likely to be looking through it than we are to be opening it? Not only that, but the cost is also often lower too. Our CORTIZO UK range is an excellent example of a cost-effective aluminium door system making the aspirational bifold or patio sliding door customers dream, become a reality.

Taking a step back to admire the “Bread & Butter”

It’s often easy to focus on showcasing larger projects because they stand out more on social media – and we’re proud of them on behalf of our customers and ourselves. But sometimes, it’s the normal ‘bread and butter’ products like aluminium bifolds and patio sliding doors that keep our customers’ businesses growing. Once the children are back to school and the warmer weather and lighter nights are a thing of the past, people look to what will make their summer even better next year and the unfaltering desire for indoor/outdoor living is at the forefront of the homeowner’s mind once again.

Proud of our specialist team

Being able to manufacture high volumes of aluminium windows bifolds and patios as well as taking the specialist time required for large curtain walling shopfront projects, requires high skill levels and a lean manufacturing approach.
We’re so proud of the team of specialists we have here, so #thankyou to you all for your work which makes Hepworth such a great partner for installers.

We get the fenestration right!

The cost of getting multi-storey building renovations and new build projects goes beyond money. Getting the fenestration wrong can present a huge health and safety problem for building users. There’s so much detailed technical data and calculations to get spot on which is why the Hepworth commercial team is always happy to help and find ways to make things right. We’re also not afraid to say no if we think what’s in the plans is not going to work in the reality of the installation.

Specialising in domestic and commercial projects

It’s unusual to find an aluminium fenestration fabricator who is specialist in both domestic and commercial projects, both of which require different approaches, and as a result, an ability to control flow through the manufacturing process. We’ve mastered this over the last decades working closely with our partners @SAS and @Cortizo which means we can offer some stunning hybrid projects where we can introduce windloads midloads and the correct glazing to large home extensions.

We don’t just do residential work!

Curtain walling and shopfronts are also one of our specialities for new build or refurbished commercial and residential buildings. The high performance aluminium curtain walling systems have been tested and developed to suit most environments to meet and exceed current building regulations. We will also help you to get your specification, drawings and designs correct and fit for purpose.

Following the latest trends

In terms of retail trends, we closely follow the data from our composite door supplier, DoorCo Ltd who recently reported that around a third of their manufactured doors this year are a shade of grey of some type. Dark greys continue to be a favourite but transitioning to lighter more neutral colours, Agate is getting increasingly popular too. These are trends that we see reflected in our customers’ choice of powder coating for bi-folds, patios, entrance doors, and casement windows. However, Greys and Blacks certainly remain top of the agenda for aluminium, as this selection of projects show.
